New maximised view for MIC ARRAY AND MAP ISOLATION Windows, Click maximise icon to open, Recording enabled for both windows.

New DEPTH AI Mode, Gives a AI Generated DEPTH, EDGE Visual perspective, Only shows detection of moved items in frame, Sensitivity slider controls the depth range. 

Auto evidence capture automatically starts video or audio recordings for a set duration.

Kinect v1 and v2 sensor support "Camera mode" Only, Does not fully support Depth mode but has the benifit of complete darkness operation. 

Depth mode fade time adjustment, sets the duration of how fast the motion activated rendering vanishes. 

Depth mode colour and velocity pallet, you can now customise depth mode colour or add velocity matrixing which adds thermal pallet to slower/faster moving pixels for enhanced visual 3D perspective.

PLEASE NOTE! If you have version 1.5 Installed or lower please uninstall that version first before installing V1.6. This doesnt overwrite the current installed App so will end up with 

older version and new version so just remove the old version from your Uninstall Apps, App manager.

KINECT V1-V2 SENSOR SUPPORT FOR SLS AI PRO 1.7

APPYDROID SLS AI V1.7 PRO - KINECT SENSOR SETUP GUIDE

This guide will help you unlock the full potential of your Microsoft Kinect Sensor (V1 or V2). By setting up this "Bridge," you can access:

  1. True Night Vision (Infrared Stream)

  2. True Depth Mapping (SLS Camera Mode)

  3. High-Definition RGB Video

 

PREREQUISITES

Before starting, ensure you have the correct drivers installed for your sensor:

  • Kinect V2 (Xbox One): Requires "Kinect SDK 2.0"  (DOWNLOAD HERE)

  • Kinect V1 (Xbox 360): Requires "Kinect SDK 1.8"   (DOWNLOAD HERE)

  • AppyDroid SLS PRO V1.7 Is installed.                    (DOWNLOAD HERE)

 

If your PC already recognizes the Kinect, you are ready to proceed. Partial Kinect V2 Sensor support was added to AppyDroid SLS PRO V1.7 To enable the HD Camera only without the OBS Virtual camera needed, If you want to experience Depth and IR Camera OBS Virtual camera is required. 

 

STEP 1: INSTALL OBS STUDIO

  1. Open the "Tools" folder provided with this download.

  2. Run the "OBS-Studio-Installer.exe".

  3. Follow the prompts (Next > Install > Finish).

  4. DO NOT launch OBS yet. Uncheck "Launch OBS Studio" and click Finish.

 

STEP 2: INSTALL THE KINECT PLUGIN (CRITICAL STEP)

This step connects your Kinect to the broadcasting software.

  1. Open the "OBS Plugin" folder provided in this package.

  2. You will see three folders: 'bin', 'data', and 'obs-plugins'.

  3. Highlight all three folders and COPY them (Right-click > Copy).

  4. Navigate to your OBS installation directory. By default, this is: C:\Program Files\obs-studio

  5. PASTE the folders directly into this directory.
    IMPORTANT:

    • Windows will ask if you want to Merge folders. Click YES.

    • Windows may ask for Administrator permission. Click CONTINUE.

 

STEP 3: CONFIGURE THE SENSOR

  1. Open OBS Studio.

  2. In the bottom section, look for the "Sources" box.

  3. Click the "+" icon and select "Kinect" (or "Kinect V2").

  4. A properties window will appear. Here you can select your sensor mode:
    FOR NIGHT VISION:

    • Set 'Video Mode' to: Infrared (or IR)

  5. FOR DEPTH / SLS MODE:

    • Set 'Video Mode' to: Depth

  6. FOR STANDARD VIDEO:

    • Set 'Video Mode' to: Color

  7. Click OK. You should now see the camera feed in the preview window. (Note: You can resize the image to fill the screen by dragging the red corners).

 

STEP 4: START THE VIRTUAL CAMERA

  1. On the far right side of OBS, look for the "Controls" dock.

  2. Click the button labeled "Start Virtual Camera".

NOTE: You must keep OBS open in the background for the camera to work.

 

STEP 5: CONNECT TO APPYDROID

  1. Launch AppyDroid SLS AI V1.7 Pro.

  2. Wait for the system to initialize.

  3. In the bottom-right corner "Input Source" dropdown, select: "OBS Virtual Camera"

You are now connected!

 

PRO TIPS FOR INVESTIGATORS

  • DEPTH AI: If you are using the 'Depth' video mode, activate the 'DEPTH AI' filter in AppyDroid. This creates a highly accurate motion trap that ignores light and shadows, triggering only on physical mass.

 

  • SKELETAL TRACKING: For the best stick-figure tracking in the dark, use the 'Infrared' mode in OBS. The high contrast helps the AI lock onto bodies instantly. AVOD using the skeletal tracking when the Kinect sensor is in depth mode, It may not be reliable due to Low resolution you may experience skeletal glitches.
